About the book:
Jack, a poor young boy, is rather foolish. He trades the family cow for magic beans. He plants the magic beans and they grow into a beanstalk that stretches to the sky. He climbs the beanstalk, finds a giant ogre, and steals his riches. On his third visit to the ogres castle he is discovered. But he races down the beanstalk and chops it down, killing the ogre. The story is based on an old English fairy tale from the early 1800s.
